The Curse Of Tattoos In Our Society

Leviticus 19. 28 declares,

“Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.
29 Do not pros­titute thy daugh­ter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.”

I must really pity millions of Ghanaians, Nigerians and world youths over this curse of Cain called Tattoo. As we know, Cain was the first human to get tattooed, and God Himself did it for him. Why? Because he killed his brother Abel. So God needed everyone everywhere to keep off from Cain and to see him as a condemned fellow. Genesis 4.1-16.

But what we see among our youths today who have tattoos is alarming. They are looking up to satanic singers who have alliance with satan to tattoo themselves. People who frowned at this evil curse previously are now celebrating it. They would tell you that it’s cool to have it since others have it

Millions of young people are deeply lost in this curse of Cain. Following the paths of these artistes and celebrities will surely land anyone in the Lake of Fire. These people who have given their souls over to satan to use for the destruction of their followers know for sure that hell is the final reward they’ve got to inherit, but majority of youths who blindly follow them don‘t know.

The Church has lost the awe-striking message of hell. Instead we think that we are reaching out to sinners by handing over a piece of tract. The average youth on the street or in the schools won’t receive a tract from you now. 

While these people preach sin, drunkenness, sex, lust, hate, prostitution, clubbing, and tattooing, they are rich and can enter nearly everywhere. But the youths who purchase their CDs and pay heavily to watch these ministers of satan in concerts are always harassed by the police and armed forces on the way once they spot even a tattoo on them. But the youths won’t listen.

Just like the boy who tattooed Davido on himself; and he was welcomed by Davido.

They have crazy and greedy ambitions too like their sin-promoting role models. They lose out in the long run without knowing. They can’t gain employment because the employers are afraid of their tattoos, and prejudge them to be criminals or cult members or wayward – even when they are not.

Why? Their music and mivie “gods” have tattoos too!

There is always a repercussion when we break God’s Word. And the serpent is already striking.

Ecclesiastes 10.8 says,

“He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a ser­pent shall bite him.
9 Whoso removeth stones shall be hurt there­with; and he that cleaveth wood shall be en­dan­gered thereby.”
